USB: A USB pen is used for storing memory on it from your computer. all you do is plug it into the computer and saved whatever you want onto the USB pen which then if you where to go use a different computer you just plug the pen into it and your work will be come up.







EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE: Are usually used in addition to internal hard drives in order to store more data. They also allow users to put sensitive, confidential and otherwise important information on them, then disconnect them and store them in secure locations.







 
FLASH DRIVE: A flash drive is used for storing files from one computer to another. They are really small and easy to use.





CD/DVDS: Cds are usually used for putting music on them while dvds are for films.






RAM:Random Access Memory (RAM) provides space for your computer to read and write data to be accessed by the CPU (central processing unit). It is a lot faster than a hard disc and its also volitile so data stored in RAM stays there only as long as your computer is running. As soon as you turn the computer off, the data stored in RAM disappears.

CACHE MEMORY: Is extremely fast memory that is built into the computers central processing unit (CPU) or located next to it on a seperate chip.









 
MEMORY CARD: A memory card is used for saving memory like photographs and music on your mobile phone or camera.
